Juzan, in southwestern Saudi Arabia, is coastal city on the Red Sea. It is capital  city of jazan province near the Yemeni border. Although it is a small province, it has a dense population of 1.5 million inhabitants. The terrain of the region is varied, consisting of mountains, fertile plains, coasts, and islands. Jazan is famous for its agricultural products, especially its tropical fruits like mango, figs, and papaya. The climate in the city of Juzan is very hot and humid in the summer, while temperatures in the mountains to the northeast are much cooler
Jazan is one of the oldest regions in the country, dating back some 8,000 years, and is rich in heritage and ancient monuments. There is an interesting mix of architectural styles throughout the region. The builings are in harmony with their enviroment and make use of local materials, such as stone, mud, bricks, wood, and plants. One style that is unique to the Tihame coast is the Jazan hut. The region is also known for . its traditional handicarfts and its  generous and hospitable people
